Johnny Ronan - Would Ya?!

Latest fallout from the now infamous 'Rumble in Ranelagh':

ROSANNA DAVISON has quit tomorrow's VIP Style Awards as pressure grows over the Johnny Ronan trip.

The former Miss World had planned to turn up for a red carpet appearance only, before heading abroad for a weekend out of the limelight.

But Rosanna has revealed to the Herald that she is not now planning to turn up at the Shelbourne Hotel event at all.

The model will avoid any potential showdown with Glenda Gilson after her €60k two-day jaunt to Marrakesh with diminutive developer Johnny Ronan (55).

Xpose presenter Glenda (29) had faced down an irate Mr Ronan just 24 hours before he hooked up with Rosanna.

Glenda and Dublin's glitterati will attend tomorrow night's event, but it was the showdown between the two most beautiful guests that had pulses racing.

Rosanna told the Herald: "I don't even think I'll be able to make it to the red carpet part of the evening now.

"I have a photocall earlier that day and then I've got an evening flight to catch, so I'm not sure I'll have time now to even go for an hour.

"Both myself and Glenda are up for the (Most Stylish) award, and it would be nice to see her win it. She has great personal style, she always looks great and I think it would be a nice end to what has been a stressful two weeks for Glenda."

The former Miss World extended an olive branch to the Xpose presenter in the wake of her now-infamous trip to Morocco with Ronan.

BOMBSHELL

Rosanna stepped out to a bash hosted by hotelier John Fitzpatrick in Residence last night, accompanied by her father Chris de Burgh and mum Diane, but with no sign of boyfriend Wesley Quirke.

The blonde bombshell again reiterated that her trip to the luxury ski resort of Val d'Isere in France away had nothing to do with the drama of the past ten days and said it was organised ages ago. "I booked it on January 5, it has been in the pipeline for a long time, a group of friends invited me to go away with them. To be honest, it will be nice to get away from Ireland for a week and just relax,"

The beauty queen added how Wes Quirke decided not to come out last night as "he's not that into social events" and she was meeting up with him before she headed off.

She continued: "He pays no attention to any of this and is coming away with myself and my parents to Morocco next month -- my dad's playing a concert out there."

The Assets male model has kept a low profile since news of his girlfriend's 36-hour trip away with jet-setting Johnny was first revealed last week. He has declined to comment about the incident but Rosanna has said that "things are fine" between them.

However, social insiders say relations between Rosanna and Glenda may be frosty for a while after her impulse trip away with the Treasury Holdings boss.

Glenda dated Ronan for more than two years but the pair never publicly spoke about their relationship. Two weeks ago the pair had a public spat in what became known as the 'Ranelagh Rumble' and have not met up with each other since then.

Jet-setting Johnny flew to London earlier this week but it's understood he has now returned to Dublin
