Buddypress in Wordpress

I have been building a website for a friend, using my usual platform of Wordpress: it can be used without any knowledge of web mastering.

He wanted a forum... so I used the Buddypress plugin.
It was a nightmare but I finally managed to put the forum up, stop people from creating threads in some categories, but not stop them from replying to existing threads in them.

The site goes live at the end of the month so I still have loads to do, but I am happy so I fet like sharing :-)
My new take on it is to find a nicer looking theme, cause it looks quite poor, but I did not find anything with so many functionailities and looking better...
